This special seal is primarily used in heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders due to its unique structure, featuring an assembled O-ring. This O-ring ensures the pre-compression amount of the sealing lip under low pressure or vacuum conditions. The sealing force is essentially independent of temperature changes, and even with some degree of wear, it maintains the necessary pre-compression amount. The lip is loaded due to an increase in system pressure, which is transmitted to the lip edge through the deformed O-ring under pressure.

To avoid damaging the sealing lip during installation, do not pull the seal on sharp edges. Usually, such seals are installed in closed grooves. For cases with extreme diameters and cross-sections, when the structure does not allow for open groove installation, installation aids should be used.
