The GTX-type xipuli seal is a further development of the lip seal. It combines the advantages of high elasticity of the star-shaped ring and the wear resistance of the calendar-shaped sealing material.
This special seal is primarily used in heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders due to its unique structure - an assembled star-shaped ring. This star-shaped ring ensures the pre-compression of the sealing lip under low pressure or vacuum conditions. The sealing force is essentially independent of temperature changes, and even with some degree of wear, it maintains the necessary pre-compression. The lip is loaded due to the increase in system pressure, which is transmitted to the lip edge through the star-shaped ring that deforms under pressure.

To avoid damaging the sealing lip during installation, do not pull the seal over sharp edges. Usually, such seals are installed into closed grooves. For cases with extreme diameters and cross-sections where open groove design is not allowed due to structural constraints, installation aids should be used.
